Tailgate Question

Hey everyone

The last owner of my truck took off the tailgate and installed one of those air-flo tailgates. I have the original and want to put it back on. However, I am missing the pieces that the tailgate hooks on to the truck itself. I have the straps, and the tailgate , I just need to know what the parts look like that go on the truck body. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

Shayne

I just put the tailgate back on my
93 LE Club Cab 4x4. There are two cup with a cut out like things on the tailgate. These fit over the oval shaped horns on the bed with the tailgate lower then the normal down position. After you get those on you can reinstall the hinged metal straps that limit the tailgate and hold it in the down position. This takes 3 minutes and no tools.

What does the tailgate clamp on to when you close it?

There is a latch pin on each side, like the latch pin for the door.

How big is the latch pin? Does it just screw into place?
