Tail Light?

Just changed both tail light bulbls in my dad's pickup, and one tail light works and the other doesn't. I'm not sure whats going on because both brake lights come on. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Check for power in the socket with a test light. Could be a bad wire or corrosion in the socket.

If it were a bad wire or corrosion in the socket, would the brake light still come on since it is the same bulb?

The brake light and the tail light use different wires for power.

Happened to me couple weeks ago, wire in a new socket or it will happen again. I got mine at advance auto parts store. My problem was it wouldn't ground right in the socket.

Do you guys think that I should take the bulb from the other side out and try it before I go looking for bad wire?
