T-case issue

A little info about the truck. It's a 92 w350 DRW automatic I guess a 727 with a np205. To complicate the situation it has a PTO driven dump body.

The issue is when I put the transfer case in 2wd it makes the PTO start turning for the dump body and the truck wont move. Because of this im forced to drive with the t-case in 4wd.

If anyone has a suggestions or possible answers they would be greatly appreciated.

If it's a 92 it has a 518 overdrive auto look around there should be a cable to disengage the pto

there is and its disengaged. its to the left of the steering wheel and runs down to the lever on the transfer case to engage the PTO.

It just doesnt make sense that a company would manufacture a PTO kit that would make you not able to use 2wd but i dont know what else it could be.

Is there any adjustment available on your PTO cable? In other words, can you get it to disengage if you disconnect the cable and operate the PTO control lever manually directly at the PTO?

what hes saying, is the cable pushes a driven gear into the countershaft gear, the cable must not be fully disengaging the gear, and needs to be adjusted

Yup that's how it works. Unfortunatly it doesn't seem to matter if the adjusment is good or not it still wont engage 2wd. I've been messing with it when I have time for over a year since I bought the truck.
