If i dont let the clutch out like a cops behind me , the tires will spin. Got it goin now! But blew off a i/c boot.. m112 make annoying sounds when going straight to atm
Did get transition from super to turbo smoothed out and the 66/19 lights faster
Egts are very low, cool down is more or less instant

Anyone have suggestions on a good 4in muffler? .. regular cab stack
any updates on your project?

I'M STOKED!
Still waiting for my Ferd 8 groove P/S pump pulley. Have a new self adjuster that I will attempt to use in a wedge configuration if I can.
The Ferd pulley is over 6" so I should be spinning the heck out of S/C. The mounting is holding me up right now. Trying to figure that out.

Shoot some video of your truck taking off!

Post up some updates,

Anyone else readin, compounds are still awesome for what im usin the truck for. I would definiatly put my 35/55 combo on again, "Cool" power for sure when haulin

Care to make a comparison between compound turbos and then the super/turbo setup for various driving types?

when you say it is "no speed demon", do you mean it isn't much faster than it was, or just not too fast over all?

in the lower rpms its faster and up till the turbo lights, but the getrag is holding back speed really. with an automatic it would be more noticable.

well both of these setups are compounding. i like the supercharger because i have 3psi at idle and its a wood truck so i need the low rpm grunt. and on the top end i have my 66mm/t4 to keep things at 550* crusing 55mph empty or 700* pulling 15k

the 35/55 did all this also but it was more subtle. but no where near the tugging power as supercharging

if you want your truck to act like a gas counterpart, supercharge but man the noise
if you like your diesel noises and still want the upper and lower power, id compound, its cheaper (all depends i guess) and nets great results and depending on your truck might be easier to fit

me myself, i love how the super spools the 66 faster and i have booost all the time, can spin em till i get in 5th, will stay very cool, easy to find boost leaks

not sure if the getrag likes the low rpm power power.. i want to dyno soon to see my power curve

That sounds like just what I want. I am designing a pulley spacer hub so I can get this dude hooked up! I am leaving the slots in the supercharger that supposedly quiet it down a little, and if it drives me nuts on long trips I will put in more sound deadener. It's a good problem to have though.

ive been trying to think of a way to open the bypass on the super during cruising speeds or when desired so that the drag it creates is gone and the sound goes with it
thought of using a VSS somehow but if you spun your tires good it would lose the extra power.. and hitting a button everytime you get to speed doesnt sound fun

ill try to get some pictures of mine up

Size: 102.5 KBthose are all ford 7.3diesel pulleys on the left, a cummins idler and tensioner on right. vise grips were for a test without bypass being fed. that tube from turbo to super bugs me.. too big and "out there" but that was all the tubing i had left at the moment

i know it looks ugly but bear with me, it works

Think of it as redneck traction control. As soon as they stopped spinning, the bypass would close. .............

thinking about blow off valves, two next to eachother right about where the turbo piping 90 degrees back and flow them right into intake with maybe a dual intake plate or before gridheaters
would have to be set just right because of boost back pressure on the valve
i want to believe they would flow enough pressurized air because theyre similar to intake valves and wont be going through i/c.. but size matters, the one inside the s/c ha size of a half dollar or 3/4in ?? opinions?
