Straw install PICS, couple questions

I am going to install a straw to feed the second gen fuel pump.

I am thinking about installing another straw to accept my return line (blue one) from my fuel regulator.

Is this a good idea?

I guess I will install them on either side of the sending unit?

Is my fittings right on the straw are do they need to be reversed? (red Tooth pick represents tank, so o-ring is on the outside of tank, Correct?)

I am not sure if the fitting is right but becareful where you out the fitting in the tank. The cross members in the bed can interfere with it. I just did mine and it was very close just by luck. I put mine just to the rear of the sender and just a little closer to the passenger side.

Kind of o/t question, but is there anywhere I can buy 5/8 fuel hose other than some kind of heavy truck dealership? I need it for the vent tube out of the tank and NAPA/O'Reilly etc. never have it when I've asked.

I could use more of the big filler tube too but they REALLY have no idea on that one.

I ran a 3/8" return from my regulator back to the tank and hooked it to the 'normal' fuel supply line - happens to be just under 3/8". I left the regular return from the IP where it was, I was informed that the IP needed the back pressure to control timing advance. Don't know how true that is but WTH it's already there and one less line I have to mess with.
