the stock first gen(W250) i am fixing right now had the front driveshaft semi removed. No caps on the U-joint, and only one strap hanging in the yoke with one bolt? . QUESTION- I need a part number on a strap kit (Spicer?, Dorman?) for the FRONT yoke with proper 1/4-28 bolts. The bolts are not as important as the straps being correct for the D60. I have no caps to measure, but it appears the front yoke used 1-1/16" caps? ALSo ,If you have it, go ahead and give me a part number on a front u-joint also. thanx , crossy

The Dorman kits you want to pass on. Go spicer only.

I have boughten three or four dorman kits. The only thing worth using was the bolts. The caps came no where close to fitting the u-joints properly.

I don't remember the number for the spicer kits.

Should be a 7260 series u-joint ... also known as "small dodge". The caps are actually 1.078".

well, here is what I can tell anyone searching so far - the spicer 3-70-28X is WRONG.
The moog U-joints # 534G & #316 are WRONG- and those two U-joints, even though they carry different numbers- appear identical in every way.??

I THINK THE FRONT STRAP KIT IS a Neapco 1-0023.
I THINK the U-joint is a moog 317 ??

Not sure what those numbers are and may be saying the same thing.... I was just doing this 2 weeks ago. The correct front u-joint is 7260 series!

Looked up the Moog 317 and it is the same as a 7260 series!
