Strange Steering

I recently installed a Borgeson shaft and all went well with the install- thanks Bushywakr for the instructions.
What an improvement, shoulda done it a long time ago.
However, I still ocassionally have this recurring problem.
When making a right-hander on freeway offramp she starts into the turn fine but midway thru it feels like it wants to go straight then jerks to the right. It's not enough to be dangerous
- yet?- but is real unnerving. I've checked for the usual suspects, such as cracked s. box mount, slop in steering components, etc. but now i'm wondering if something is amiss in the steering box itself.

Help, Chris

Re:Strange Steering

Did you check your power steering fluid? Might want to give it a drain, flush, and top-up. Could be air bubbles, or a sticking servo valve.

If that doesn't help, then I would say that things point toward needing a re-built pump -- but maybe someone else has a better idea.

Re:Strange Steering

I've been adding fluid on a regular basis since I've got leaks.
The pump is leaking I believe btw the vac. pump and the ps pump. The steering box started leaking later from the input end. The Slick 50 ps fluid seems to be slowing down the leaks.
I just need time and money to fix it, but I want to know exactly what needs repair/replacing instead of the usual diagnosis by parts replacement! :

Thanks, Chris
