Step or handle to get in the truck
I was looking for something to help get into the truck as it sits a little high and i am getting old.
I really don't want a full running board but maybe a step or a handle on the inside of the cab like my 13 ram had.
Are there any handles available for these trucks ? I know people usually have gages installed there .
Also , I have looked at these steps. What have you used ?

which ever way you go beef up where you mount the steps and handles to spread the load. The sheet metal is fairly thin and bends pretty easy if the load in concentrated in a small area.

My truck came with these little alum/chrome handles on the B pillar. I won't put on steps or bars... I have a knack for wrecking things that hang low on the truck.

I put a grab handle from a newer ram, or was it a chevy? in the crewcab to help the wife get up and in the truck. Also installed some running board/nerf bars from a 3rd gen crewcab.
Even though the pics are down, the info for the grab handles would be in my build thread.

A friend has them on his lifted p-stroke.
They lower and retract within one second of opening the door.
When I first installed my military pintle on my class V reciever I would whack my shins everytime I went near the rear of the truck, not so much any more though.
I was at Target the other night sitting in the truck talking to Rebecca waiting to backup when I felt the truck shake, someone walking behind me had walked into the hitch, poor guy had to hurt himself, It was hot out and he was wearing short pants.
Haven't checked yet but he probably left some DNA on it.

At my age (40) I still love the look of no steps. My 72 yr old dad refuses to get into my RC due to its height. I will say my dually came with aluminum tread steps which I hated at first but I will admit that even though I don't use them unless I am washing the truck that if I take my hand and run along the bottom of the fender, rocker, and bed even with BFG mud terrains I still feel nothing but smooth paint. Now not that I will ever bolt anything to the body I have installed a set of nerf bars to my old 92 club cab. They looked okay I guess but they mounted to the cab mounts and I made a brace that went to the frame for strength. The neatest thing I have seen (and would also never do personally) was a guy had a chain for steps on his lifted 1st gen. Really manly

I am 51 and prefer the looks of no steps as well. Truck sits a little high so a step would help me get in and out. Here is a pic.
I went with this step. I called the manufacturer and they said it would work on the 1st gen. and it was the latest and greatest. A little salty on the price but at 51 I got more money than when I was younger....................

I don't know which to compliment you on -- how clean your truck looks or how clean your garage looks.
