Starting Problem

Hi

1997 147K miles has just started to have a starting problem
Problem is the same Hot or Cold no diffrence.
The motor cranks for a while before starting.
If I step on the throttle while cranking on the next revolution it will start right up. If I do not step on the throttle it cranks quite a few revolutions before it will eventually start. Anyone have any ideas of what we should look at ?

Thanks
Joe

Thanks I have been doing some research and I think you are correct the idle speed might be to low... I will try bumping it up only idling at about 400 rpm
