so i have a few questions for those with stacks

hows the noise inside the cab? to loud?

does the heat from the stacks get into the cab in the summer? i dont have a/c that works and i dont want it any hotter in the cab

do u have to put covers over them when its raining so they dont rot out?

Its actually quieter now than with my rear exit. My dual 5" exit about an inch or 2 above the cab and with the windows shut its silent

Its 90* here today and was not hot at all, and my a/c is not hooked up right now.

Its a good idea, but mine sat in one spot for 4 months with no cover and its all good. I bought stainless flex, the rest is exhaust pipe or my 6" square tubing splitter. I found some hub caps that fit nicely over them though.
DO IT!!!! I love my stacks, especially with the 6" square splitter--adds a nice echo!

nick....my stacks are about 6 in over the cab....i barley hear them unless i have my windows down.....and my stacks heat wise.......i can run my truck all day on a hot day get out of the truck and grab the stacks the stacks dont get really that hot at all...and i dont have any covers over my stacks.......for as much water that gets down the stacks it does no harm...they only thing those covers do is keep the little bit of rain out so when you start your truck you dont get soot all over the truck.....so just buy the stacks and put them on you will not be disappointed

Just do it. You'll get over the guilty feeling after you hear what it sounds like and also the way it looks.

Perfect height and size.

The stacks on my truck are 1 or 2 inches below the top of the cab. I don't really like how it looks. They need to be up a little higher and be a little bigger o.d.

Loudness is fine in my regular cab. Nice and loud with the windows down and nice and quiet with the windows up. I imagine it would be even quieter in an extended cab.

I had a decent load behind mine this last weekend and pulling some of the bigger country road hills got it pretty loud inside.....the dreaded drone I believe. Windows down, it sounds good from what I can tell, I've never had anyone drive by me with it. Mine were just barely over the cab rack at first, then I remounted them about 6 inches above, seems better with the windows up. Kids say it's not bad, I've been having some sinus problems with the spring and all which is why I think it's messin with my head lately.

They sound great though, like the smoke puffs I can see out the passenger side mirror. Gonna leave it mufflerless for my drive up to western NY this summer and see what I think. May end up putting a straight through on it......or not. Not like the rest, but for $118 handmade, can't complain. As far as water, I drilled a 1/8" hole in the flexpipe on a low point....not like your gonna hear a leak!!

Maybe Im getting old (or my salties are getting dangly) but i think mines a little loud for towing. I could definately complain about a 2 hour trip with my car on the back in the dead of summer with the windows down. BUT, on the other hand, she sure sounds good rippin through the gears

Windows up tho, nice and quiet.
