I watched your video clip. The sound is very similiar, but mine is only audible in gear. Park and Neutral are the only selections that make it non-audible.

I have had luck quieting a belt by letting the engine run and hold a wire brush against both sires of the belt and on a pulley where ever you can. Just be careful. It usually won't help once it has been sprayed with belt dressing.

So you think it might be the water pump huh? Do the water pumps "weep" coolant when they wear out? What is an acceptable replacement? Thanks

OK I did what soot4brains suggested .Squirted water on the belt and it got quiet untill it dried out so,Me being the tightwade that I am.I tend to try the free things first.I used a die grinder with a 2" 80 grit sanding disc.Pass side between the alt pully and the a/c pully, position yourself where you can get to it where you can sand the back (smooth side) of the belt with the engine running. Please be carefull. Now there is a build-up of rubber on the water pump pully.get some 40 grit sandpaper and your pull handle to remove tension from the belt.sand the build-up of rubber from the top of the pully all the way around (3" at a time). be agressive cross hatch the more tooth you scratch into the surface the longer it may last I was able to remove tension and turn the water pump pully by hand.FYI the gates belt came from napa 12k miles ago.My truck is quiet as a mouse LOL
