Spoke to DTT today...
About a new Torque converter today and they told me they don't build them with the steel stator any more. They are using billet aluminum. I asked why and he said it spools quicker. He also told me he would be build one to stall around 1600 to 1800rpm for 850 canadian.
What do you guys think?
Also spoke to BD and they seem to offer the same thing with around 1800-1900rpm stall speed and the billet aluminum stator for 700 canadian.
Both use torington bearings and both weld the mounting plate all the way around.
What do you guys think?
I just phoned Dtt again and spoke to the same guy. He said he went and checked and they are still using the steel stator because they are tighter.

Give these guys a call. They use the same steel stator that DTT use to, or still does.
