Speedo bounces at 20 mph at idle in neutral?

Alright guys, so I put a new end on the ground cable from the block to the battery. I cleaned everything, including the positive side, greased, and assembled. The speedometer is now going nuts, and gets "faster" with higher rpm. The wait to start light also goes crazy. I got a code from the check engine light, just gotta figure out what it means. 5 blinks in a row. Any ideas?

Sorry I got the codes wrong. 12 and 23. Battery connectoin interrupted, and air temp sensor open or shorted.

What do i do now?

Thanks!

I would check all the wires on the AIT sending unit, On the top of the intake plate just behind the grids i believe. Try shutting the key off, pulling the negative cable off. Take a test light and connect the stationary end to the negative battery post and put the probe on the negative battery cable end. If the light lights up at all then you've got a short somewhere. Don't ask me how this works but it just does hahaha

Idk how to clear the codes on a 1st gen but i do know on all my heavy equipment if you just unhook the battery for a few hours they will magically disappear.
