Source for dashes?

Wondering if anyone knew of a good source besides a salvage to get a dash for my 92. I replaced the headlight switch today and after taking off the front face plate of the dash, I noticed hair line cracks in the plastic brackets of the dash all over the place. Anyone know a company that carries dashes? If I cant find nothin, I might just put a FLD Frieghtliner dash in it.

Thanks Guys,
Monty

Does anyone know if the 1/2 ton Dodge dash assembly is the same as the D350CTD? I see alot of listings for the 1/2 ton dashes.

Re:Source for dashes?

I think that it is time for someone to tool up and make a nice replacement dash for our trucks designed to take two 3 3/8 guages (speedo and tach) and enough 2 inchers to cover all the crap that we have to put into pods, etc. and make it out of some nice 1/16th" aluminum so it doesn't rattle and squeak every time you start the truck on a cold day . . .

I have been planning on making something like that ever since I bought my truck, but I just don't have time. It seems like we have a market of at least two for some enterprising individual.

Re:Source for dashes?

LOL, I have thought about fabbing my own dash but I just dont know how to go about it. Havent ruled it out though. I have also been looking at some of the dash repair kits to try and save some money. One that seems to be pretty good is http://www.superiorrestoration.com or http://www.fitzgeraldrestoration.com

Re:Source for dashes?

the dashes would be the same across all the trucks 100-350, if optioned similarily (cargo light, PTO, things like that that stick in the dash)

Monty --

Please let us know what you end up doing -- and if you come up with any quick ideas of improvements on the dash mounting . . .

Also -- do your-all's seat-belt reels rattle like crazy? Mine are both reasonable if you are wearing the belts, but driving around with no passenger it can get annoying. Any experience fixing this?

Thanks,

Alec
