Solid yellow wire, steering column?

well after putting the dash back in the truck I noticed a funky hidden switch connected to the yellow wire running down the column. I just noticed it and don't have any of the wiring hooked up so I cant test it at the moment. So I was wondering if any of you guys know what that wire is?? Thanks guys
