Smoother ride . . . . . .

I don't know if any of you have tried this but . . . .

I've been known to take a pressure washer (or the car wash), and blast the leaf-packs of each axle cleaning them as best one can.

Give them a day or two to dry.

Then jack the truck up so that each leaf-pack is in full droop.

Then flood them with an aerosol, highly solvent, high-tack type of lube. The kind that dries leaving the high-tack type of goo. I guess motorcycle chain, or wire rope lube, . . . . whatever. The point would be to use a lube that can't get washed away easily. The high solvency allows it to get in between the leafs better.

Doing this every once in a while keeps it smooth.

It actually does improve the ride. ;)

I`ve done that too except on my 86 gasser, worked pretty good and quieted it down some also.
