I had been flogging the truck pretty hard, so I set the cooldown timer, pulled the key, and went inside. I used the shutdown lever when I came out and found it running.

It's been about a year and the truck shut off with the key today.

I don't know that there is a definite "too much" point. I hadn't touched the fuel screw in a year or so when mine failed.

So will turning the fuel screw all the way on cause it to wear out faster. I got some info from a cummings tech friend of mine and this is what he is telling me, that if you turn the screw in more than 2 turns it will fry the pump, any thoughts. Thanks

It does make the pump work harder on an intercooled truck, but it's pretty rare that guys on this board lose a pump. It won't blow up if you give it two turns. Might eat the shutdown plunger, though.

At this point in time, we have no before, and after dynoes of running with a solenoid or without. Im still running with no plunger. The bad news is I need to spend a bunch of money on a new clutch to give some HP readings
