From: Stuck under a hood.
P-Pump upgraded solenoid - about $225. Materials for fabing up mounting bracket, linkage, and wiring - about $30. Not having to pop the hood or pull a **** to kill the engine - priceless.

OK I got the piers shutdown solenoid. It made it 1 full day so far. All is well right now, other solenoids didnt last 1 full throttle run. So far so good

Can i join the club too. I just hooked up my cable drilled a small hole in the fire wall ran the cable through a hole in the dash and put an electric fence conector on the end. works like a charm, just too bad i had to go and blow a gasket

yea a lil piece of metal the connects hot wire fence when it breaks works like a charm i was gonna steal the choke **** off our 53 ferd grain truck that aint runnin but i figure ill need it soon as i get mine runnin and start workin on it.

Well Im not quite RedNeck enough to have a Shut down Cable so can someone give me the Part number for the Piers Unit? Mine just started the Not wanting to Shut down Stuff..

Maybe it was the Drag racing at Bandimere Saturday for the Diesels on the mountain Event

I dont know the part #, but if you call piers they'll have it. I can tell you that The pull cable is not redneck, but the electric fence parts sure are.

Well guess what? That Piers solenoid lasted 2 days and its history, dont bother buying one I guess we are back to a cable or 2nd gen modified unit

I have 2 1992s and both will eat the tip off shutoff solenoids in short order. Pull cables are the cheap fix. it would be nice to have Key operation. Oh well life goes on

Well If I have to Use a Pull Cable then I will Rig up the newer Shutoff or Something, cause Im not gonna use a Pull cable. That would make me think Im in an Old Timer Semi truck or an old piece of equipment.

Whats funny is Mine will shut down 50% of the time and was working fine untill I Pressure washed the engine off the other day.
