Hello all, newbe here, I'm Bob.
Looking for a little help.
I have a 93 D250 12v 1st gen, It will fire right up cold or hot, will run 6 seconds and tries to stall, just hit the pedal and it will catch back up, then 6 seconds, it will try to stall again, Hot or Cold, does it ALL Day Long.
When I idle it up to around 1500rpm or higher, it will run for 6 seconds and die down, will not stall, but dies way down, then will catch up on its own, and every 6 seconds will do the same thing ALL Day Long.
Bleed air out mutiple times, seems to have No air in system, truck has 150,000 miles.
Changed fuel filter twice, No water or alge in fuel that I can see.
I replace the FSS, No Change. Just need to figure out what to do next...

I am willing to bet you have an injection pump issue. Your 1st gen should have the Bosch VE rotary pump. From my limited knowledge on them (my expertise lies more with the 2nd gen Rams), they can be DIY serviced/rebuilt. I'm sure the 1st gen guys that know more on these pumps can give you some better insight.

You know it probably isn't it, but I once had a loose connection at the FSS that would randomly shutdown while going and when I would jam on the go pedal it would recontact and go again. Just something easy to check...Mark

Sounds like a governor issue in the IP to me.
