Rocken-Tech 14mm rotor head
Rocken-Tech 14mm rotor head
Hey anyone looking for a reliable rotor head for $300 rocken tech is where to look. I just got my pump back in a few weeks ago and I could'nt be any happier the old girls fueling like a p-pump now
Be carefull putting the two words 14mm pump and reliable in the same sentence.
They make a huge difference in the way the truck drives. I love the throttle responce and the extra fuel on the high rpm side!

Your running pods and a hyrbrid H1c? dang your egt's must be high. i thought 14mm pumps liked bigger injectors and MASSIVE amounts of fuel running to it.
Whats your fuel lift pump setup?

Im running an edelbroch 160 gph pump with half inch lines from the tank. Well I havent melted a piston yet
as far as reliable goes as long as The pump gets a good volume of fuel supplied to it I dont see why it wouldnt be. And it was way better prced than KTA's rotor head.

well for the road I have it turned back besides you cant even shut the truck off when the pumps cranked up so thats deffinitly just for the strip. I'm not too worried about the pump I knew what I was getting into when I purchased it, Ive done plenty of research and know the pros and cons.
The main reason is that I was just pushing it too dang hard, fuel screw maxed....which caused the engine to overspeed....then the h&r seized at 4700rpm. Granted I was also running the 4mm camplate and that im sure didnt help anything. But it wasnt the cause.
JAyers did you get the 501 hp when you had this setup on there? Did you run the 14mm H/R prior to adding the 4mm camplate or was it all installed at once? This sounds like a heck of a setup but as you said 14mm and reliable are not good in the same sentence. I have a 14mm H/R but been kinda waiting till I had a spare pump, now I have 2 spares so I guess I'll try it. Any good advice, pitfalls, ect. you have will be appreciated. Good luck with your next try.
I had the 14mm H/R and the 4mm cam plate in when she rolled 501hp. I needed more air at the time. Just make sure you have a nice fuel supply and at least 6x.016 injectors, these are the two main supporting mods for the 14mm H/R, IMO. Enjoy the throttle responce and the new found fuel! If you need anything else feel free to PM me.
