Riveted tags on front gear housing?

Riveted tags on front gear housing?

The tags in front of the VE what do these say, is it common for the smaller one to be missing? I am looking at a truck that is missing the smaller one.

I can barely read mine due to dirt is there anyway to clean it without damaging it?

i just wiped mine off, but wd40 works to loosen the dirt

i'll look and see if i can, if not i'll jst get a new pic tomarrow

from what i can read in a pic i have on another computer:

important engine information:
this engine conforms to U.S. EPA and california (ARB) regulations
applicable to 1990 model year, new heavy duty engines. this engine has a primary intended service application as a medium heavy-duty diesel engine as defined by EPA. 3919603
