replacement fuel tank strap?

Went outside today and saw the rear of the fuel tank was hanging down. The fuel strap gave way but it didn't break it looks like it somehow came out of the slot? I don't like that setup but anyway, where does one get a replacement strap cause I'm sure the bolt is rusted to hell. How much $ am I looking at. Thanks, Matt

The problem isn't the strap, but the way it is hung.

Check this out:

Look at the way the forward end mounts, then compare it to the aft mount; the forward mounting is much more secure.

I used a piece of chain, never will it rot thru and it kinda looks cool. Takes a little ingenuity but they both can be permanently secured.

My rear strap broke also. I used a piece of strap steel for most of it and then bolted a chain toward the inside to a bed crossmember. Works well and didnt cost that much to make. I also used some padding between the strap steel and the tank, to help elieviate(sp) and future rubbing from strap to tank.

Mine rusted through too. If I recall it was a dealer only part still and was about $50.
