In other words, r-152a will blow about 10 degrees cooler than 134a, roughly equivalent to r12.

pulled the cycling switch off a junkyard pick in pull... that may be one you have to mod to work a "like type" model that achieves the same effect, the line fitting should be standard it's just if it's a 2 or 3 prong dongle on the end, I can't remember off the top of my head.

Mine was acting up so I moved it in and out out tube in the pressure line. So far it has worked for almost a year now. there is a special heat conducting grease that is used on the probe, Might be worth a try putting new grease on there before buying a new part.

I have an adjustable fin temp switch in mine. It has a probe that slides into the evaporator, and a rotary dial for cut out temp. Its set to cut out at 32degrees to prevent freeze up. I suppose in drier climates I could set the temp lower, but it works great for me here in Wisconsin. Found it in an everco catalog a few years ago. Under $50 if I remember correctly.
