removing A/C
removing A/C
I'm looking into removing the A/C condenser to make room for the powerstroke intercooler I bought, I don't use A/C and when its hot I usually just use the windows, removing the condenser would make more room to make the intercooler fit on my truck since I have no intercooler currently. How does one remove this thing entirely? I unscrewed the 4 bolts holding it on but the lines hold it in from being removed all the way and I couldn't see where to disconnect the lines from it. Is there a sort of loop I can buy to just loop off the lines until I have time to remove the whole system or fine a better place for the A/C condenser?
Also is there something I can use to degrease the intercooler the one I got off ebay is mighty greasy on the ends and makes handling it unpleasant.

There should be a junction near the radiator support where the lines go through, there is a bolt or nut that holds the lines together.Look for the metal block in between the rubber hoses. I ditched my A/C too. I use greased lightning or brake cleaner for oil/grease removal.
