I saw a club cab short bed once and it looked retarded if you ask me. The guy had the frame chopped I think and a short bed off another truck and it had about a 4" lift. It was different but It looked like a hotwheels truck or somethin that wasn't quite right, just not my taste I guess.

Shane,

There is a guy here named mikon who had one listed in the classifieds. It was actually a reg cab 250 shortened frame with a short box. Truck was really cool looking (personal opinions here) , but he never replied to my requests to see if the truck was still for sale.

Since it's gone from the classifieds, I'll assume he sold it.

BTW...

The springs in the front should be switched from the 3 leaf to the 6 leaf versions with the higher spring rate but they should swap right in. There are a few threads on it, and the easiest way to find it is to look up ramcharger conversions, as it's pretty much the same. The front axle, and rear axle should be upgraded to the 60 & 70 series found in the 250 as well. If not, they will most likely get torn up with the weight and torque of the diesel.

It might be easier to do what Mikon did by just shortening a frame out of a 250

Post pix if you decide to go through with it.

No the 1/2 ton springs wont hold the cummins. The stock springs in the 250 bairly hold it and sag bad over time. Best bet would be to swap in some stock 7226 springs for a low stance, or the 7226s for a higher level stance. I've seen 2 reg cab short bed cummins first gens and they look very nice. I've seen one ext cab short bed D250 and it looked pretty good too, but not as good as the reg cab. I would love to come across a D150 reg cab short bed with a good interior. I'd buy it up in a heart beat and swap my whole driveline in. That way I could keep the strong D70 rear and the new wheels i just bought.
