Rear rubber bump stop.
And these Mopar rear bump stops are a little odd in that they are secured to the truck frame by a steel tab in the rear and a 5/16-18 bolt in the front.
It is part number 24 on the attached page from the Mopar parts catalog.
Thank you; indeed I am looking for rear bump stops. The shape is significantly different than that of the Moog part number listed above.

The nomenclature (actually works in google) is "bump stop"
Here's a universal one that should fit.

Auto Zone has 5 pages of them.

those "front bump stops" are the style that are on my truck which I believe to be factory as the truck has been in the family since new and I don't believe they have been changed
BUT, those bumpstops fit Truck Model Codes D5 and D8, which are 1/2 ton pickups and Ramchargers respectively in Mopar Parts Catalog nomenclature. Our 4WD trucks are Model Codes D6 and D7, which utilize Item #24 in the drawing. Perhaps your truck is a 1/2 ton or a Ramcharger?
Did you grind them clean before painting ? Mine were made out of a "high nickel content" alloy of some sort. When I removed all the grime and the paint, they were "shiny" like chrome below.. I thought about spraying a clear on them, but then I figured the road kill squirrels I accidentally hit from time to time wouldn't really notice much...
