Steel wheels
I’m looking for a 17” wheel with about the same with and back space as factory want to look factory but 17” been looking for a stock wheel off something else but haven’t had any luck any ideas?

Nothing stock that I'm aware will work, all of the later year trucks have too much backspace due to wider axles/wms spacing.

They don't look factory, but your best bet is to just buy some "Pro Comp" or similar "Cragar Soft 8" steel wheels in 17x8 with 4.5" offset (not the 5") like these https://www.summitracing.com/nv/part...8880/overview/

I’m not Worried about backspacing nothing on the truck is stock I just want the original looking Wheel in a 17” I have a set of soft 8 wheels just not the right wheel

Stock Original looking wheels with Dog Dish Hubcaps only came in 16". Dodge used 16x6 and Ford used 16x7" wide. Other than in regards to OEM 17" from the big 3 you have to go with incorrect offset wheels that look nothing like stock and in ford's case after 1997 have the incorrect 8x170mm bolt space. I checked stockton wheel and they don't offer a custom stock looking wheel in 17" either.

the wheels pictured are 17x7.5 and the closest to stock I've seen but only because they are plain and silver. They still have handholes vs. solid like first gen oem. But again, they would rub the inside of your bed wheel wells when loaded and the front would look funny and narrow, and the incorrect ackerman angle would eat tires for lunch. But form over function right

the offset is not a problem but with the brakes I’m using I have to use a 17” I just want a 1970s or 1980s industrial look

Have you thought about a set of 19.5 wheels from an older UPS truck?

I'm not sure where one would find a set, but I have seen a few pictures of 1st gen's running them.

that would be a good wheel only problem is tire size I’m running 35” tires I got a 3rd gen wheel today I think it’s going to work

I run those wheels sometimes. At a minimum, they need a 1/4" spacer to clear the tie-rod. I went with a 2" spacer to match track width my 2ndgen Dana 80... and keep the tire off the drag-link (when turning right).

what size tires are you running. Clearance isn’t an issue my axles are modified

Those are 295/70R17.

In the event you can fit those wheels without spacers, I think it would be odd. The 67" front, and 65" axle widths on these trucks is quite narrow. The extra backspacing makes the track narrower again. Front hubs are gonna stick out too.

Interesting that you only choose now to tell us of these custom axles. In your first post you ask for suggestions about 17" wheels with stock width AND backspace. Either way sounds like you figured it out.
