Ram Hood Ornament

Santa (aka girlfriend) got me a Ram hood ornament for Christmas! It looks pretty straight forward, just drill 3 holes and bolt it in, I'm hoping somebody has a measurement from the cab side of the hood to the back of the ornament. I'm planning on some sealant too to keep the freshly drilled holes from rusting.

Instead of measurements, I just made a template of the base out of cardboard with the holes in it, lined it up where it looked right, then traced it out with pencil. It worked well for me.

I removed mine since I personally don't care for them. But the way The_Head went about it seems good to me.

Where do you get these? I think they are cool but haven't been able to find them reasonably priced. Thrashingcows, I'll buy yours if you don't want it.

Looks cool , except it may cost a 1mpg for the additional turbulence :-).

38 3/8" with the tape hooked over the back of the hood to the back of the mount. 5 1/8" with a cloth tape from the front lip of the hood to the front of the mount.

There's been a pile of em on Ebay lately. Been meaning to get a new one myself since mine's broke off.

hmmm, never thought of that - I already removed the Ram badges on the side. I've got a body shop guy who can fill in the holes.
