Radiator support bushings
Radiator support bushings
I am looking for new radiator support bushings and I can't seem to find them. I see them for 72-85 but not for our trucks. Is there a difference in the older mounts? Does anyone know where I can get the correct mounts?
They are called radiator isolators and they were apparently used on 92-96 dodge vipers. Part# 5202 7502. I would think that they would still have them for vipers...Mark
Here is a parts list in PDF format. I first searched the part number with the space and got nothing. I then searched without the space and it popped up. There are many cases where these parts were used on other vehicles with the same part number, it is just a matter of sleuthing it out...Mark

I called dodge today to see if I could get an old part number for the bushings and they said they can order them. They say they will be here in 4-5 days so we will see then I guess.
Keep in mind that the steel bushing INSERTS and washers are probably also trashed.
The inserts are known to be physically collapsed from all that cooler weight and being worked around on rough, uneven terrain.
I have never found a "perfect" used set.

Thank you I will see if I can get them as well.
They'd be more likely to collapse than wear.
The bushings compress in the assembly, so the new bushings, along with the old sleeve, could get you a spec by measuring carefully.
I have seen some that weren't "crushed", but were decidedly junk from corrosion on the outer diameter, so if the sleeve is relatively straight and the ends aren't obviously mangled, you could use it as a guide.
I know, not much help, am I?
