Radiator Sources?
Radiator Sources?
Hello.
I have a 91 D250 5.0 Liter Turbo Diesel. I need to replace the radiator due to pinhole leak near the top. Looking for info on compatible radiators for my application. I see this one on ebay, but the mounting looks different than what I have, but the hose in and out look like they are in the proper locations.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/161078464933...933%26_rdc%3D1
could this be made to work? The price is right.
Any ideas, part numbers, sources welcomed.
Thank you.

When I needed a new radiator, I took mine to my local Radiator Shop and had them build me a new one using a HD core and renforced it against vibration, the copper core is domestic not from china.
Beware of radiators with plastic tanks.
Also check your cooling and electrical system, pinhole leaks can be caused from electrolysis and lack of servicing your coolant, with a poor engine ground your charging system can pass current through your coolant.

Try a local radiator shop first.
I got mine from NAPA last year. They had to get it from Canada, but it was still only $250 IIRC.
All metal, no plastic....but noticeably lighter than the OEM one I replaced.
I brought the old OEM radiator to the scrapper and got $40 for it!
