Red face R10SVT VS The Brick

I was on my way home from work, I have got a 28' ladder on the rack, as well as several pieces of 1" elec conduit, and some slip and drive material strapped to my full length ladder rack,, I slow down for the EZ pass toll, and notice a Dodge space ship marked R10SVT in the lane next to me, I roll through at abour 20 mph in 3rd, The H2O/meth enabeled, And as i just start to get on the pedal, the svt jumps out of his lane into mine spitting fire and brimstone,, So i figures that we needed some coal, I floored it, Running out of third, i hit 4th and kept the pedal down, I kept up with this gasser once in 4th, and started to gain on his bumper when i went for 5th,,,, Well folks, He then pulled into right lane, so he could exit, There is an exit ranp about 300/400 yards from the tolls, As he was drifting off into the exit ramp, He did a triple take looking at my Red Brick, with a suprised look on his face, I gave him a courtious wave and continued on my way home, warm with the thoughts of my reliable and peppy old Dodge!
Peter.

Your truck must really be fun to drive in 3rd and 4th with the W/M on. My old 90 d250 cummins always felt so much more powerful empty then my ex cab W250 I think it was close to 1500 pounds lighter. I think the next one I get will be a 2wd 5 speed.

I was wondering this too. At first I thought maybe you meant a Ford SVT, then you said Dodge so I'm guessing you're referring to a V10 SRT.

Sorry, not trying to be nit-picky. Either way, I'm sure it was fun keeping up with the toy "sport" truck in your work vehicle, ladder on the rack and all.

I had thought that is said r10, But it all happened quickly. I was a V10 dodge pickup with big chrome wheels and small sidewall tires.
Even though we were on the PA turnpike, He was tossing up some stones that hit my windshield, (no cracks) He was WOT,,,, I wonder what he thought to himself afterwards, My truck, besides having all the stull on the rack, was also very dirty and encrusted with salty deposites.
Mabey i will see him sometime again?

Must have just been a V10 pickup. The SRT10's are over 500hp and over 500 ft. lbs. Not to knock your pickup, because I see you have some nice mods But the SRT10's are the fastest production pickup in the world

The fastest stock SRT-10 I've seen here at Denvers Bandimere Speedway (5800 ft) could only muster a 14.6 @ 96, and stock Ford Lightings are about the same. There is a supercharged SRT-10 that shows up too.........last time I saw it run he was running 12.6 @ 106. Still trying to catch that one.
