Quick Front Seal Question

i just finished replacing my front seal.....heres my question....i used the TST kit for my KDP....do you leave the "seal driver" in the cover or do you remove it before you install the cover?

Remove it. Make sure the plastic sleeve stays inside the seal to protect it from the crank, though.

that "driver" is nothing but a depth setter or limiter. some say the seal is supposed to be flush with the small snout of the timing cover, but i set mine with the "driver" back in august and have had no leaks. but yes, you need to remove it before you install the cover.

The driver also seats the seal squarely in the bore of the cover.

did coat the outer race of the seal with red locktite as per the TST instructions?
