question about flywheels

You said the bellhousing bolts up fine are you sure the getrag also matches that belhousing if so that housing didnt come off a 97. Regarding your 450hp clutch preferance it will be heavy duty allrite but for normal driving its not going to be nearly as comfortable as a 12 1/4. I have a all original 92 with 160K that I just changed to nv4500 and a southbend 12 1/4 oem type so far the southbend seems to be fine this size clutch is the std from 94 till ? on the dodge diesel. RE selecting a flywheel If you at some point want to use the stock 13" sach clutch make sure you get the recesed type flywheel as the recess is the clutch register whereas the 12 1/4 lines up from the bolts the 12 1/4 will fit on the recessed flywheel

yes i tried the bell housing on the block and checked fitment, then bolted it up to the getrag to check fitment and it is the correct one.I really dont drive the tuck except for summer/spring.Still havent bought a clutch/flywhel yet,I dont want to spend the money on something i wont be happy with so im just trying to do as much research as i can and make the best choice

id run a southbend ofe in it. you could run an southbend fe but the engagement can be kinda harsh. be the best all around clutch for what you have unless you want to do alot of pulling or drag racing. i love my double disk but they are $$$ if you dont need it.
