how much of a difference is there between the "Dorman" and "Stock" mirrors? Besides the price

Been debating on doing this on mine for a while now. Has any one tried using the support brackets that Geno's sells for the 94-02 or has every one just cut their own plates?

Never seen those....looks like viable option.

I might be picking up a set of SuperDuty mirrors with the side markers on them. I like having the full mirror up top and the convex down below. And you only need to slide them out for towing rather than fkio them up.

Can they be mounted without losing use of the wing window?

That I don't know for certain but the mounting base is quite large. I'd be tempted to tear it apart and attempt to build a bracket of some sort that would use the factory mirror's mounting studs already in the door.

Or maybe modify the factory bases to accept the dual arms of the SuoerDuty mirrors.
