Pump ?'s

I was wondering on the performance gains I would see if I bumped my pump timing? Also what about the pins and govenor springs? Anybody know of prices and/or where I could get them? Thanks!

You will get better top end power, lower EGT and boost, and slightly better fuel mileage from bumping the timing.

Old Smoky pin or one of the knockoffs like Bully Dog is worth about 25 HP. PM Old Smoky for more info on his pin.

Governor spring is the best $15 you can spend on your truck. It lets the engine wind up higher, which makes a bit more power. The big benefit is the much quicker throttle response, it makes it feel like a whole different truck. You can get the spring from your local Bosch pump shop, or Scheid Diesel will mail you one. The part # is in the tech facts.

http://dens-site.net/Dodge_CTD/Gover...ing/index.html that should cover the install.. I just had a little trouble with the throttle indexing or whatever its called and when i initially started the truck it would try to die with any throttle so just make sure that you follow the directions verbatim.
