Pulling engine

I am pulling the engine out of my parts truck. Just wondering if It will come out with an auto tranny attached? The whole front clip is already off the truck including the rad support.

Is it a 4x4? If so ya might have to get the cab up to clear oil pan, but it should come out with trans.

Yes it 's a 4x4. Thanx for the advice. Will the factory lift points on the engine hard both tranny and engine? I took the transfer case off already.

I used the factory lift points to install my engine and NV4500 with no problems

I personally HATE the factory lift points. I make my own, and lift off a more centered position and use a heavy ratchet strap crank pulley to the lifting point so I can adjust how the engine comes out. I hate having the engine wantint to twist on me by using the factory lift points.

It's out. There was tons of room to pull it after I lifted the front of the cab about 4 inches. Might have come out without lifting, but just barely. Now to build a stand for it to sit on until it's needed.

I built a stand to store the engine on and it will sit in the corner of my shop until it is needed. Is the any thing I should do to it before it goes into long term storage?
