Poor mans Bhaf cover

I wanted to see how it would run with the bhaf installed so I got rushed and did not build/install the bhaf mount yet. I used some double sided electrical tape to build up the bhaf (three wraps) so it would fit the stock intake hose better and hopefully keep it from falling off. The only water proof material I could find was some corrugated plastic and a bungee cord

BTW I towed about 10,00 pounds 50 miles yesterday and could not tell a difference but I still have stock pump settings so I did not expect to see much difference but I thought It would sound different but id did not, guess my straight pipe is just to loud to tell

Looks nice! Just be sure the electrical tape wont come loose and get sucked into your turbo.

That would be bad , the hose is on there real tight and the tape is on the outside of the filter "neck" and sticky on both sides It would have to really have some suction to get it loose I think, but I guess anything is possible. I will be getting some elbows and the mount soon I hope.

I sucked in a piece of tape and it destroyed my HTT stage 3 impeller.

Just go to the parts store and buy a 5" hose clamp. Mine hasn't moved since then.

On could take a short piece (~6") of 4" exhaust pipe, stuff it into the filter so the end is flush with the end of the lip, and glue or screw it to the BHAF lip. That way, you dont have to worry about tape falling off, or getting stuff sucked into the impellar.

In my experience, electrical tape tends to slide to the place of least resistance.

This is the correct way to do it. The BHAF was designed to be clamped onto a pipe, not to have a hose clamped over it.

Toss in an htt stage iv and you'll hear a difference! The job is very simple too.
