Plug at hood release help
I’m putting some parts together before I put dash in my 92 and running the dash wires and I definitely did not take enough pictures didn’t think it was that big of a deal but 1 year u tend to forget .But my question is there is a plug that was attached to the hood release mount inside it has 4 wires to it but man I can’t for the life of me figure out what it’s to Thanks I’m going to try and put pic with this |
I know what you’re going through trying to remember where everything goes I’m having to figure out what goes where on my project truck I have a few trucks and they all have that Plug but they have nothing plugged in to them |
Really nothing plugged into it it has to b there for something but maybe mine didn’t have anything plugged into it either.Dodge put it there to stump us.I really was thinking I was missing something |

I am reasonably sure that plug is for the optional tachometer.

That plug sits on the underside of the dash I believe....not 100% sure but think it is a diagnostic port for the dealer to plug in and read any of the early basic codes from the ECM? I know my 93 wiring has one down there and it is not for the tach. ;)

I thought I remembered the tach kit instructions (for '92 & '93) referring to a plug in the wiring harness in that area, but I believe the above is that to which you were referring . . . So, my apologies. |
