piston pump question

Hey guys, my supply pump gave it up on my way home yesterday and i was thinking of going with a piston pump for a replacement. Here's my question: While searching ebay I found a place listing one with cummins part #3936318.
The description says it will fit B series 4 cyl and C series. Will this pump work on my 91.5 because he has 9 brand new ones at a really low "buy it now"price. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope.

The part number found in the sticky is the low pressure piston pump. You put that one on there and your likely to blow the front seal of the VE and fill the crank w/diesel.

Add a bypass regulator after the filter and it'll work fine.

Would I need one that would allow fuel to return to the tank/return fuel line or would a normal Holley style regulator work?

You want a bypass setup like I showed. Install it between the filter and the injection pump.

Set it for 15 psi. That's plenty for your truck and won't hurt the front pump seal.
