Pic Help - Spare Tire Carrier

Ok, so my truck came with the spare tire in the bed, and I never got around to putting it up there. I got the long arm w/ piviot bolt from the PO, but I cannot for the life of me see how it would line up. None of the bolt holes line up in an obvious manner.

I have gathered from searching old posts that:

1. I am missing some sort of upper bracket (?)
2. The stock spare tire holder sucks.

I know its a long shot but was wondering if anyone had any pics of how this system is supposed to work.

1. throw the spare in the back so the dog can stannd on it.

2. Join AAA, cause the spare will be lost in two months.

3. build a nice fuel tank for the spot the spare used to be in.

just my .02

There's a "J" shaped bolt that hooks in the frame, a wing nut on the "J" bolt supports the bracket. I'll go crawl under the truck and get a pic.

Thanks a bunch WD,

Looks like the part I am missing is the J bolt. Makes sense now, I had it layed out exactly like yours is + I was wondering why the bracket mount hole extended several inches past the frame. I was beginning to think I had the wrong bracket
