The 40 HP is the gain over the stock pin at minimum depth. The real number is around 25 HP, which is still worthwhile. Price is around 3 pics of Ben.

I don't know whose is best. I'm running the pin that was in my truck when I got it, somebody cut it pretty deep. The profile is too steep for smooth driveability, but that doesn't matter now tthat I've ground the AFC lever.

Speaking of grinding the AFC lever, you ought to go back in the pump and do that. You're leaving a lot of (free) HP on the table if you don't.

i run the pdr pin and can tell a nice difference on the upper 2000 rpm area in how she pulls and when you romp on it too. i did the gov spring at the same time which also helps.

cost is very resonable too. i just need to send my core back now. jiMMy

How does the pins like this , PDR, affect highway mpg. does it make much or any difference if you drive it right?

I really like the gains I got just setting the stock pin a couple of weeks ago. I actually got 1 mpg better somehow this last tank.. maybe it was just luck.

Any change you make to the pin or AFC lever will not hurt highway mpg. The extra fuel only comes in when you step on the accelerator harder.

It is possible to hurt in town mileage - mine's now down to 14 mpg from 16 when the truck was stock. I didn't see mileage drop until I added POD's, just playing with the pump while I had stock injectors didn't seem to hurt any. I still get the same mileage on the highway that I always did - 18 mpg at 70 mph.

it only affects fuel delivery when you've got boost, so it shouldn't hurt cruising mileage.

I'm running the Old Smokey pin and noticed a nice gain. I didn't loose any mileage either. I need to do the gov spring and grind the arm off.
