Parking Brake

I have a question on my parking brake when I go to step on the brake it hardly moves at all maybe one or two clicks so my question is would that be a frozen cable or something totally different thanks

Does the brake hold? It could be as simple as the handle that you pull on is not adjusted properly. Try loosening or tightening it a turn or two and see what happens. If no help, it could be a bad cable (or two) or a problem inside the drum. Start simple and report back...Mark

the handle work because the brake pedal comes back when you pull the handle but the brake does not reason I think its the cable

There is actually an adjustment with the handle. It is probably not the problem, but is real easy to check. Take a look under the truck right along the driver's side. You can see all 3 cables from there,a as well as the adjuster. Apply the parking brake and see if all cables are taught...Mark Edit: Also, relase the brake and see if all 3 loosen up...

I looked last night and all the cable moved like they should so it is either rusted in the drum (my prediction norther truck) or it is something in the adjustment.
