Exclamation overdrive button stuck in off

In my 92 w350 the overdrive lockout switch button seems to be stuck in the off position. I have not had any problems until a few days ago I was pulling a load of hay and pushed in the switch to lockout overdrive like I have done hundreds of times bfore and now it will not unlock. No matter how many times I press the switch it still stays light and the overdrive is locked out. It is okay for when I am pulling a heavy load but I sure liked it when I had overdrive. How do you get the switch out if it is bad? Dodge dealer only place to get a replacement? any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!!!!

On my 93 with a tilt column I got a shift lever from a second gen which has the overdrive switch on the end of the lever and installed it.
Much easier to use now,
I am not sure if this will work on a 92 and if it will it has to have a tilt column.

The OD switch is a momentary contact switch. A pulse from it toggles the OD lockout state in the PCM.

If you disconnect it, and then start the truck, it should be in OD. If it isn't, something else (temp sensor, wiring) is locking it out.
