Original emissions equipment

Going to assemble the exhaust on my truck this weekend. I have a 4 inch diamond eye down pipe and a 6 inch mitre cut stack i was wondering what these trucks had from the factory. I know they had a muffler but was that it? Was there a catalytic converter? Mine is a canadian truck if that makes any difference. I'm going to put an mbrp muffler on it but just making sure that's all I need to keep the man off my back

I don't know about Canadian or IC trucks, but my 90 doesn't have anything but a muffler...Mark

No cat converter, just a muffler.

That's easy enough. Lol. Thanks guys. As long as I have a muffler the police can't write me up. Unless I'm being a little silly with the throttle

As far as noise emissions, the exhaust muffler and the intake muffler-tube on the air filter housing (that which connects the housing to the front of the radiator support).

As far as the engine, the turbo's after-cooler, and perhaps some timing retarding.

My donor 93 I used in my 4wd conversion on the crewcab was an original Canadian truck...and still had the original exhaust on it. It just had a muffler and that's it.

All the 1st gen 12V truck I have owned have come with mufflers only.
I see the "cats" show up as factory equipment on the '94s exhaust systems though.

Yep, FWIW, even the 94's built before 1/1/1994 were Cat free.......
