I think this was off a show called Motor Week. I vaguely remember watching the show back in the day.

That review makes it sound like a sports car. Of course 400ft/lb of torque help too.

Cool find. I think the poor braking should have been addressed after the first year. My 93 is bad about the rears locking up, worse with the 3" shoe upgrade. They also should have kept the throttle lock in all years. I installed an '89 setup in my 93 and love it. Its a complete diffrent set up than the other years. Besides the lock it has better leverage which makes the throttle touchy and have less resistance. It feels close to the newer gm pickups(01-07).

That was interesting. I didn't know they were in such short supply back then, probably because I could not afford a new one then anyway. Its incredible how far these trucks have come in terms of horsepower, torque and endless amenities. But one thing remains to be seen...will a 2012 Ram diesel ( or any late model diesel) still be on the road in 2035 and will it be affordable and cost effective to keep it running? With injector sets and DPF's costing many thousands of dollars, not to mention costly computers and electronics, it makes you wonder. I think its one of the main reasons these old trucks have such a following and their rising prices reflect it. Anyway, thanks for posting this.
