Okay need expert help on IP

Ya, bothers me too! I have a newer FP (replaced a couple of months ago). Unhooked the steel inlet line at the top of the IP to see if maybe I could see an obstruction... Nope. Pushed on the priming lever and fuel freely shot out of the end of the line so the only thing I can think of is there was some kind of catastrophic failure with the IP.
