Oil Change

I know i sound like a retard, but am i going to have to take off the lines around my oil filter in order take it off. I cant get my filter wrench up around the lines? will a rubber style filter wrench work? any who i am going back outside to give another crack at it. thanks in advance for the help!!!

The only thing you need to remove is the big air-intake tube.

It's sort of an annoyance, but it gives you an excuse to go ahead and inspect the air-filter for dead birds, rat's nests, and the like.

Some wrenches are hard to fit in there. The nylon strap style is popular and fits nearly anywhere.

I have good success with those metal band-type filter-wrenches, the kind that the harder you pull, the tighter they hold.

i already had to use a flat head screwdriver to get one off. The PO tightened the crap out of it so i stabbed it with a screwdriver. Came right off then

well i got it off right after i got off the computer, because i remembered my dad taking an ice pick to his 91. and it cam right off. thanks for the info
