Odometer inop
Odometer inop
My '92 D350 hasn't had a working odometer for a couple of yrs now.
Two weeks ago, when I dropped the fuel tank, I noticed a two wire connector on the pumpkin that was sheared off. I was able to resolder the wires back after cutting some of the connectors plastic away.
I was sure this would fix the odometer problem thinking that was where the sender was. She still don't spin.
Is the indeed the odometer sender? Anyone attemped a cluster repair if it's internal to the speedometer?

yes we have fixed ours.all you do is find a mid 80's or 90's van in the junkyard with the weird cluster that has the real small gauges for the van dash.the gears are the same and the numbers and everything you just plant into the back of your cluster.
There is an excellent thread by Macaiahfied in the sticky on this:

Thanks. I didn't even know the old D350 farm truck had ABS.
I've fixed a few Mercedes "VDO" speedos with gears from odometergears.com. As a mater of fact I need to order some for my W126.
Guess I'll be ordering some for the dodge as well.
Excellent write up on the repair.
