with my 1/8th mile times. They were horrible. 11.1, 11.3, 11.5, and 11.9. My reaction time was really really horrible at first, to the tune of .9 [yuk]. Even with a .4 rt, my 60' time was 2.9 seconds or so. Traction was a very big issue. Next time Im gonna load up a couple of bags of concrete over the axle hoping that will help. She ran good on the top end though. I raced my buddy mcolectd in his 07 5.9 with a 6sp and smarty on 5. He too spun his tires and we ran neck and neck about 1/3 of the track, then I pulled away. By the line I was a good 2 1/2 to 3 lengths ahead of him so I was proud of that. Practice and traction and Ill be able to make a good time eventually.

Well it doesn't sound all that bad. I wonder if it would help you out to get a set of soft compound tires on the back, something that will get a little tacky if you warm them up or just be soft enough to grab at the start.

That 5 spd. with the 3.07 aint helping that 60' ether. Thar setup sounds super for a cruiser and i bet it gets great milage, but not the idea setup for short track drag racing. But you got to work with what youve got: some 16" drag radials aired way down might help tons, try the denny t pin and maybe the #354 spring rather than the 366? You have to improve on the 60' to see good times in the eighth. Heck ive read where several 1st gen guys run in the mid to high 8's but they have an auto- and dont get the milage that your CAPABLE of. IMO

The 3.07/getrag combo is great once Im rolling, pulls super hard on the top end, especially upper 3rd and 4th. I dont have the 366 installed yet, that will help too. My bfg's get pretty tacky once their warm, but doing a burnout on this 3/07 rear and a 12" SB clutch doesnt work too great. Ive got a dennyt pin on the way, last I heard anyways I did, and still have room to go up on the pump. Last night was first run, and I definitely need more fuel.

with the pods and all the mods you have a 3200 spring will be AWESOME that will help your times sooooo much....i cant believe you dont have it already!!!!

It's only gonna take you, maybe an hour and a half. It's stupid easy, just keep all your parts together because the tophat is hard to find in gravel.

I did my spring in an hour on a sunny day in the drive way. That included finding the top hat that went flying into the gravel. Just do it and get those times down. [coffee]

I know, but my brother is a mechanic so I keep saying Im gonna let him do it. Our schedules didnt match up too good until recently. Itll be in before long.

The first one I did by myself took me about an hour and a half the second one took me 45 min and my 3rd took around an hour and 15 min but thats because dummy me lost the top hat for a little while (just ask crossy [sorry]) but as long as you take your time and watch what your doing you won't regret it especially since you have the 5 spd.

I can see where you wouldnt be impressed, my STOCK 01' in the sig ran consisent 12.1s in the 1/8ths with 285/75/16s and 3.54s. It well only improve with more practice. Leave on the last yellow
