Hey ya'll, I am in an aurguement with a couple of my friends and I was hopeing you guys could help me out. Did the 89 dodges come from the factory with a non-wastegated turbo?? Because I have an 89 dodge 250 and I swear up and down that it has a non-wastegated turbo, but when I tell my buddies this they they swear up and down that its wastegated in some way? Not trying to start anything but I'm 99% sure it's not wastegated

 

I believe they were non/wg til 94.

 

Thanks man, Thats what I thought too.. My buddies just think it's impossible to have a non wastegated turbo, but mine definatly does not have one, lol

None of those trucks had waste gates.

 

They just put reeaaaly big exhaust housings on them so they wouldn't be in danger of overspeeding.
